YES! – practice these mindful eating practices
You will be surprised how many of these you may relate to over the past Christmas seasons. I am defiantly number 2 and have to have restraint at a food buffet my family puts on for 30+ people
No 1. The Christmas party
Old you – “Its my christmas party tonight and Im going to eat and drink a lot, I better not eat much today”
New you – I will eat my usual healthy meals today, and enjoy what I feel like eating and drinking tonight as I don’t go here often.
No 2. Family Christmas Lunch
Old you – There are so many options to choose from today, I will just have a bit of everything on my plate and pile it up.
New you – Im going to choose my favorite options first and then if I am still hungry for seconds I will try a few of the other options.
No 3. Over indulging
Old you – I have already done the damage by eating so much crap yesterday, may as well keep going and start fresh in the new year
New you – I enjoyed all the foods yesterday and I still feel full and sluggish. Im going to take it easy today with light fresh foods.
Practice these 3 simple mindset resets and you will really enjoy your Christmas break. You will be able to enjoy all your favorite food and drinks and still be sociable without ruining all the hard work you have put in over the last year.
